at half time during the 2008 Champions League final, i looked out the window & was amazed to see this great trail of coaches parked along the river, ready to whisk the all the United & Chelsea fans straight back to the airport & outta the country!

i can't speak/read Russian, but from memory... the top one is Gazprom .. the next one is MegaFon ... not sure about the next 2, then the bottom 2 are of Krasniy Octiabyr, known also as the Red October Chocolate Factory.

Kotelnicheskaya Embankment Building, Moscow

this amazing building is one of the "Seven Sisters" in Moscow, known by Russians as Stalinskie Vysotki (Сталинские высотки), which means "Stalin's tall buildings" ... check this link to wikipedia for a bunch of info on them ... & see the photos i posted last week! ;)

as i was on my own & didn't speak any Russian, i opted to not get my camera out much in the Underground (& most of the photos i did take were blurry!), which was a shame as it was quite simply an amazing place - worth going to Moscow just to travel about down there, get off at random stops, & check out the amazing stations, halls, statues, etc

BMW advert in Moscow

this advertisment near the Kremlin was huge .. it wasn't until later in the day when passing it again on a boat that we looked up & realised they were real cars on the side of the advert!!
