Quiet and tourist free :-)
i/we go there (almost) every year for a weekend around Valentines time ... the weather is usually alright, but more importantly it is indeed tourist free!!
Doesn't St Ives appear in some nursery rhyme?
Anyway, I looked at the photos and they looked strangly familiar so I looked up the old family album and foud almost the exact same view as you've got in the shot taken from town out of the pier. Seems the family did a bit of a trip there back in 1980. Strange that, especially since I just surfed in on your blog by random.
