right, first off .. apologies for no post yesterday - i got home late & simply couldn't be bothered powering up the machine & deciding what to post - i just wanted to sleep!
ok, so now ... it's friday, it's funky, so it must be funky fungi friday! ... i'm off outside to enjoy the sun & have an ale .. have a funky evening/weekend y'all!! ;)

They don't look like a typical funghi to me at all. More like a black stone... Interesting find!

Anyways if I had to judge the shot it's quite boring but since I know that that is somehow fungi makes it pretty interesting.Good shots.
Thanks for the comment on my photos. I have to say, yours are rather exceptional, too.
Those fungi looks like tar to me. I have also never seen anything like it. It is a funny detail, that in the second picture the cracks of the fungi match the cracks of the piece of wood they inhabit.
