Mount Edgcumbe Country Park site ...
http://www.mountedgcumbe.gov.uk/Country%20Park.htm

describes it as...

Queen Adelaide's Grotto : 18th century cave used as a watch house, enhanced with an arched stone building after Adelaide's visit, 1827.

this site ... http://www.cyber-heritage.co.uk/rame/

has many old (some aerial) pictures of the area ... very interesting

Rame Head itself is an amazing & beautiful place (many pictures of it will no doubt appear on this blog!)

... & i must add that this picture is definately not a view most people would ever see!! ... ... i had to clamber onto some tall sharp rocks & balance precariously ... dodgy & dangerous stuff, but was worth it for the right angle!

Not that i was there when the shot was taken, but you know what i mean, or do you... i'm waffling...
