this mornings sunrise

i wasn't going to post a landscape or sunrise/set, etc today ... but i just checked what photos i'd taken this morning (along with a few night shots i attempted before sleeping last night) .. & if i have something freshly taken, i always prefer to post them straightaway .. .. pictures taken this morning from my bedroom window!

Urizen pointed me in the direction of this wonderfully excellent photo site ... Polanoid ... resurrecting the beauty that is the polaroid! .. i think i'm gonna enjoy trawling through this site!!

pictures taken on last sundays walk (see DOOM & local wreck).. as we walked around the bit of estuary, the ground beneath our feet changed quite often; due to the nature of the tides .. so we started off having to clamber over rocks, followed by nice beach-like areas covered in millions of washed up shells (photo next week probably), then a stretch of dense blanket weed (the photos above), before finally we had to make our way across marshland (grabbing bits of dead trees on our way, to make bridges across the deep muddy gaps!)

DOOM

picture taken this afternoon on a long walk ... the tide was out, & the sun was shining, so we went exploring around the edge of a local river estuary .. no paths; just clambering over rocks, squelching through mud, & popping the bladderwrack! Took plenty of photos .. but this was easily my favourite .. taken on the hull of an old wreck.

apologies for no post yesterday .. it was my birthday & i went to Paignton Zoo Environmental Park & didn't get home til late, so never got round to it (& thought the snails deserved being at the top for another day!) ... obviously this picture was taken yesterday .. unfortunatley the weather was overcast with infrequent drizzle, so didn't get too many great pictures (suppose that just means i'll have to go back on a sunnier day!!)
